DES - IAS GERMAN CENTER,PUNE
Under the motto: “Learn German, …beyond language !’’ the courses take place within its ideal infrastructure, especially built keeping in mind the requirements of such a unique centre for German studies. The concept behind this centre is to provide the students with an atmosphere suitable for German learning, not just within the limits of the textbooks but also about the practice oriented learning in German speaking countries such as: Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In order to be competent and leading in today’s academic world, the centre has come up with a dream to provide a platform not just to learn German language but also the culture (art, theatre, literature, music and culinary). This shall enable its students to integrate in a better manner within German speaking atmosphere.
HIGHLIGHTS OF DES -IAS GERMAN CENTER
This centre is well equipped with the optimum and adequate use of modern technology and relevant teaching media. An audio-visual room being one of its special features enables its students an easy access to knowledge about the German culture.
Another special element of this centre is the separate newsbooth with the live streaming of the German national television channel DW (Deutsche Welle).
The centre shall facilitate its students with a library and a space for German learning through various kinesthetic methods (games and reading circles). This includes also the teaching staff of the centre in order to update themselves with the relevant socio-political scenario of the German speaking countries.
At this centre different language courses/levels are being offered. Apart from the language, detailed counseling of possibilities for higher education in Germany,
Seminars on lifestyle, culture and social system in Germany is being taught.German cooking at the end of every course is a part of the curriculum. Hence the courses & services provided here by the German centre are open to students, parents and the public interested in German studies, career or the culture.
